I don't know why..

...Bath time is so fun! Maybe it's because it's just Dylan and I and he has my undivided attention.
Tonight we were playing with his "shovels" and there is one with holes it it like a shower. So I hold it up, and he holds another under it, tonight he was saying "it's a rainy Saturday" (only it was sintaday). It cracks me up when he uses the days of the weeks. A couple weeks ago, (and I don't remember what we were going to do) he kept saying "no, do it Sunday" We kept telling him it WAS Sunday... ah, well.
I was changing Jackson's diaper, and Dylan was on the bed coloring. All of a sudden he said " I love Hawaii BECAUUUUSE.." and then mumbled something I couldn't figure out. He said because!! It was so funny.
Back to Jackson and diapers. He was in such a good mood today, every time I changed him, He would laugh and smile. He would roll around on his changing table and talk. It was so cute and he was so happy, I would put his laundry away or his diapers, or whatever and let him lay there, having a grand old time, but he peed...about three times each time he was up there. Oops :)

Fun Weekend

This weekend we went to Ames for our last Christmas of the season.

We played games and ate alot! Dylan ran around impressing everyone with how awesome he is :)

Jackson did really well too. Both boys were extremely tired and didn't get to bed til late, but they did great under the circumstances.

Dylan was so tired, we came home and were watching wonder Pets and he fell asleep leaning on my arm. I had a hard time deciding if 630 was too early for bed, or if I should wake him. He went to bed just fine, but woke up a couple of times. He was so tired when I was rocking him, he could barely say "me love you too mommy" but he did :)

After Jackson got a substantial nap on the way home, he was laughing and giggling. I put him in the Jumperoo for awhile. He still is learning what it does, but he was really interested in the animals. I realized tonight his head is as big as his torso. He has a hard time holding it up for long periods of time, but he's getting better. Plus, he like to eat the seat cover. :)

Oh another thing from Dylan's bath last time, he was splashing like crazy, and the bubbles were gone, but you know, the white soapy layer on the water, after it gets all mixed up, it was swirling around and he yells, " LOOK mommy! The Milky Way!" I'm telling you, tv is making that kid a genius!

Go Hawkeyes!

Today, the Hawks played in the Outback Bowl. Dylan and Jackson went to Grandma's to stay and we went out with some friends to watch the game. Hawks won 31-10! Yep, Mama Smiled!

Didn't get to see much of the boys today :( They got up and we left, then Grandma didn't give them up until 730. We had a ton of fun watching the game and Mama got a 3 hour nap!
Dylan did talk to me on the phone and he was so cute. He was using his sweet high pitched voice, saying "Hi Mommy!" You know,like the voice you would use if you were talking to a baby.
Then I went to pick him up and he was so excited to see me! I was surprised, usually he is all about Grandma and Jessi. Mom said he said to her, "Mommy and Daddy come get us"

Jackie was his happy little self tonight. I am so glad he is doing better and is getting such a cute little personality. We just got to hang out on the couch after Dylan went to bed talking and laughing. Then I wrapped him up, gave him is bottle and he was out. So out he was sleeping with his mouth hanging open. :)

Intro

Everyday, no matter what is happening, no matter who is screaming or crying or why, mama always smiles.

The babies just have a way of forcing me to do it. :)
Sometimes it is completely inappropriate and I know it may be sending the wrong message.
Oops.
It's just so cute how Dylan is getting so opinionated and knows what he wants, when he wants it. ANd Jackson, well, nes still just a tiny little smiley baby.

Today, I was giving Dylan a bath. I couldn't find the orange "shovel" so I got a small cup from the kitchen. The whole bath, his cute little voice was saying, "Here you go, try some Lemonade." When he sounds grown up is when I laugh the hardest.

This may be bad but....Dylan, for the last few days, will not say he loves daddy. Now, he has only been saying he loves anything on a regular basis for a week or so, before that it was completely random and hilarious. So Daddy asked Dylan if he loved him, Dylan says, "no, love Mommy" They go back and forth, but the kid won't budge :)

Jackson hums. He talks and coos and hums. I was putting laundry away while he was laying on the bed talking to the ceiling fan. Every time he hums, his little lips are pursed together and it is so cute, I couldn't take it anymore. I kissed him every time he did it and he was laughing and squealing so hard! Loved it!

He also loves the blues clues song, and me singing it was about killing him :)
